Meet Judge Kenton Skarin

Kenton Skarin currently serves as a judge of the Illinois 18th Judicial Circuit, the trial court for almost one million people in the western suburbs of Chicago. Judge Skarin graduated first in his class, magna cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.

Earlier in his career, Judge Skarin clerked for the United States Supreme Court. He served in a similar role for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit which covers all of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North and South Carolina. Judge Skarin also practiced appellate law in the Chicago office of Jones Day, an international law firm with offices on five continents, and served as Deputy General Counsel to the Governor of Illinois.



Judge Kenton and his wife are currently raising their nine children in DuPage County - where Kenton was born and raised.
